Clinics

Emma Winter is a nationally and internationally ranked advanced level three day event rider.  Originally from Great Britain, Emma has been living and working in the US for over 10 years and is currently based in Newnan, GA where she and her husband Mike run their training operation, Wayfarer Eventing.  Among their many achievements, highlights include Mike’s experience in the 2004 Summer Olympics and the 2007 Pan Am Games as a member of the Canadian equestrian team and Emma’ successful completion of Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event with her horse Mahogany Chief (“Mo”) in 2005 (15th )  and 2006 (19th) as well as Burghley in fall 2005.  Additionally, their operation has produced a number of capable event riders at all levels of the sport and Emma is known for her positive, confidence building coaching style.

In summer and fall 2006 we were fortunate enough to offer a weekend clinic as well as several days of lessons with Emma.  Then in October 2006 complications with her immigration documents forced her to remain in England rather than return home from a trip that was intended to just be a short visit.   In spring 2007 several of her students were able to go to England to visit Emma and also be spectators at Badminton Horse Trials (May 3-6, 2007).  Emma finally returned to the US in the end of March 2008 and is currently keeping very busy training and competing but has made time to teach lessons here at the farm when her schedule permits.  Please refer to our calendar to see when Emma will next be instructing at SSSH-LLC (please check back if no dates are currently listed or contact us to be added to our Emma lesson e-mail list).
